Day #1628 (Thu., June 19, 2014) – Present On The Floor
The photo to the right shows the “camping gear” that Katie got yesterday. My wife will use this to pack Katie’s lunches in for day camps.
As I was leaving for work this morning I found a present on the floor…or at least what remained of it. It was a mouse. I didn’t have time to clean it up as I was late for a meeting, but the cats are gradually day-by-day showing themselves to be the true killers they really are. From mice to grasshoppers, from squirrels to cardinals, they seem to be able to catch them all. Even with a bell on their collars they seem to be quite adept at killing. Even worse than this is their desire to bring their hapless victims home and leave them on either the doorstep, or even worse, bring them into the house.
Robin has taken quite the fancy to Katie for some reason. You would think that all her chasing and running and screaming would have taken it’s toll on him, but it only seems to endear her to him. Batman on the other hand has no interest whatsoever in entertaining her personality…when she arrives, he leaves.
