Day #1654 (Tue., July 15, 2014) – Knife Play
They had some candies at work today so I grabbed a few to take home to Katie (see photo to the right). We try not to feed her too much candy but as a special treat it’s fine.
I was cutting some cheese this evening and happened to leave a knife on the table. Katie picked it up and when my wife and I asked her to give it back she hesitated. I ended up yelling at her and she ran to her room crying. I had to explain to her that mommy and daddy only want what is good for her and she needs to listen to us. It is dangerous to play with knives and she should leave them alone when she finds them. Hopefully she got the idea…
This evening Katie and I put some catnip on the cat tree and watched as the cats went wild. Well Robin went wild…Batman was too tired doing what he usually does…sleeping.
My wife went to bed for a nap this evening and I tended to Katie. I made some Batman & Robin cat stickers and we put them on paper. We then did some coloring with her new crayons. We then watched a bit of television and I was having a hard time not nodding off when my wife woke up to take over.
