Day #1657 (Fri., July 18, 2014) – Down By The Bay
The photo to the right shows the “Map Of The US” magnetic puzzle that my wife picked up for Katie. My wife seemed to like doing it more than Katie. I guess Katie is just not old enough yet.
My wife was not feeling well this evening so I took care of Katie while she took a nap. I made her a plate of “all sorts of things” and she watched her new fave show “Tinka Tinka” while I cleaned up. I told her that she needs to help mommy out and not make such a mess, or at least clean up after herself, but I’m not sure if that advice took.
Soon we were out in the front yard playing ball. She liked to kick it against the makeshift fence I made last Friday but I tried to tell her that it is just a preventative measure…not something to use as a backstop. Robin ran up a tree and Katie and I went to watch him try to get down. Not very graceful I might add.
For some reason I thought of the kids song “Down By The Bay” this evening. It’s funny…Katie has been around for over four years now and I didn’t think of this kids song til now. I found some YouTube videos on it and played them for Katie. She really took to the song and started singing it and dancing around. This might be her “Go To Song” when she is feeling down.
