Day #1678 (Fri., Aug. 8, 2014) – Dance Recital
Today is the last day of Katie’s dance camp so she had a recital at the dance hall (see photo to the right). I wanted to go see it but I had a meeting with the IT boss that I could not get out of. Oh well, my wife and Nikki took lots of pictures.
This evening both my wife and I were tired and Katie was all over us asking us to draw and do crafts. When we told her we were tired and needed to rest she went down to her bedroom and cried. I closed the hallway to the door and told her that when she was over her crying spell she could come out and be with us in the living room. The next thing we knew she was asleep in the master bed.
So, the question is, what do you do with Katie now? You could wake her up but she might not fall back asleep. We decided to just let her sleep in the bed. My wife slept in the other bedroom while I slept on the couch. Katie eventually got up after midnight and I tended to her til she went to bed…between 1:30am and 2:00am.
