Day #1688 (Mon., Aug. 18, 2014) – Izzie’s Turn
As I was leaving for work today Izzie was coming up the driveway. She will be taking care of Katie today. When I got home from work I learned that they played around the house til about 11am and then they went to Izzie’s house. Later that day they took the car seat out of my wife’s car and put that in Izzie’s mom’s car and went to Harris Teeter and the bank. They arrived home later in the afternoon. My wife was home all day so having Katie out for most of it gave her a bit of a rest.
Katie is just one ball of energy. Nikki recognizes that and tries to engage her in activities that will tire her out. When you are home all weekend with Katie due to it raining, etc. it can be quite the experience. I gave her a Farm Sticker Book (see photo to the left) when I came home from work.
Later this evening I put “Plankton Invasion” on the television in the master bedroom and Katie settled in with two juice packs and two pieces of pizza to watch.
