Day #1696 (Tue., Aug. 26, 2014) – Loving Blackberries
I took the day off work today. I worked in the shed for a bit. I needed to secure the screw eyes to the wall to hold the shelving units in place (see photo to the left). I also returned some stuff to Target for my wife.
Next stop was Trader Joe’s and WholeFoods for supplies. While at Trader Joe’s I met Luke, Katie’s classmate, who was there with his mom and younger brother. He had his Batman outfit on…his mom said “always” so I guess he wears it a lot.
Trader Joe’s gave me lots of stickers, including those that you scratch and sniff. I gave them to Katie when I got home. I also picked up some blueberries. I’m glad I did as she ate two bowls of them before bedtime tonight. I debated on picking them up as the last time we got them they just sat in the fridge.
I had a nap when I got home and then my wife went to bed while I tended to Katie. I put on “Becassine: The Wackiest Nanny Ever” via Netflix and she watched quite a bit of it. By the time bedtime rolled around she was asking for the Acquaman “Big Little” book I brought back from Nova Scotia. She has quite the memory.
