Day #1698 (Thu., Aug. 28, 2014) – Crying For Daddy

My wife and I had a doctor’s appointment this afternoon. We got home just before 5pm. Nikki soon arrived and as soon as Katie saw me she came running up to me to tell me about her day. Today was Katie’s first day of dance class. It will be on Thursday afternoons and Nikki will be taking her. According to Nikki Katie was the first girl to go into the first position today…something to be proud of I guess.
I made spaghetti with meat sauce and peas for dinner tonight. We decided that I would take a nap first and then my wife would wake me up for my shift. She didn’t need to. Katie was screaming bloody murder at the bedroom door. My wife told me that she was upset that she didn’t get a chance to play with me this evening. Well, I’m up, so she has her chance to play with me now.
We played some games on the living room floor and then I gave her a big bowl of blackberries. She snuggled up on the LazyBoy to watch some “Coloring Crew” episodes. By the time bedtime rolled around Robin was sleeping on her bed and Batman was sleeping in the master bedroom. I read Katie a story about the “Aristocrats” and it was off to bed…11pm.
