At 8:30am this morning I was at Katie’s preschool for the annual maintenance event. As I got there so early I was given a choice of what I wanted to do. I ended up painting the picnic tables. Green on top and white on the benches (see photo to the left). I was soon joined by Bodie’s dad and a couple of other people. When I was finished this task Mary had nothing else for me to do so I went home. A total of one hour, which means that I need to put in two more hours of volunteer effort at Katie’s school this upcoming year.
We pretty much lounged around the house today. Katie did her crafts and both my wife and I napped. First I took a nap and then her as I tended to Katie. I put the movie “Hoodwinked 2” on for Katie but she complained that she wanted something scarier. So, I put some of the old Scooby-Doo cartoons I found on YouTube on for her and she spent quite a bit of time watching them.
This evening my wife was craving something creamy to coat her stomach so we went to Maple View Farms. We both shared a banana split with scoops of carolina crunch, peach, and blackberry. Katie got her own scoop of strawberry ice cream but my wife and I ended up eating quite a bit of that as well.
By the time we got home it was time to get Katie ready for bed.
