For some reason Katie has a hankering for a sea turtle today. She came up with an elaborate plan to hire contractors to build a huge pool in the back yard to house it. We told her that we would take her to the aquarium one day but that did not suffice. When she calmed down I took her out for another Daddy/Daughter Day…#18.
At the Dollar Store we picked up 4 sheets of Bristol Board, the “large paper” she has been asking about as of late. She saw it when we were there last week. We also picked up two coloring books and a pack of stickers. On the way into the store there was a car with a “Sea Turtle Tire Cover” (see photo to the right). We can’t get away from the sea turtles today.
On the way home we stopped off at Jersey Mike’s for a sub. She picked out a bag of baked Lays chips and I got some pink lemonade for her. She behaved like a little charmer and ate quite a bit of my sub and the chips.
Next stop was YoPop for her fix of frozen yogurt. She knew exactly what she wanted…vanilla with two pieces of Reese’s peanut butter cups and two Hershey kisses. This child knows exactly what she wants. Usually at this age they want a bit of everything…
When we got home I made a couple of sea turtles for Katie out of foam bowls (for their shells).
I went to Trader Joe’s this evening for supplies. My wife asked me to get sour cream but we had a whole tub of it in the fridge that she didn’t see.
