Day #1719 (Thu., Sep. 18, 2014) – The Vet Station
Katie was very happy to do stickers and crafts til the time my wife drove her to school this morning. During the drive to school they saw Jelly the dog and her owner Callie. Jelly bounced about and wanted to say hi to Katie which made Katie very happy indeed. When Callie asked Katie what she wanted to be when she grew up Katie replied “veterinarian”.
One of Katie’s favorite things at school is the “Vet Station”. It is basically a table full of little pets that they can pretend to treat and nurse back to health. For some reason it was not there this morning (they often times will take it to other classrooms or just put it on one of the shelves). Anyway, Katie was very upset that it was not there and as a result my wife had to give her to Miss Ellen by force.
Katie made a lovely rose in class today. You can see it in the photo to the left.
After dropping Katie off my wife went to a doctor’s appointment.
Nicky picked Katie up after school and had lunch and then to dance class. She was shy at first but then did great.
This evening we called Everett. Apparently Chapel Hill has approved our permit for the screened in porch. Not sure what’s up with that but Everett is going to check.
