Day #1743 (Sun., Oct. 12, 2014) – Making A Haunted House
My wife wanted to clean up the house so it was Daddy/Daughter Day #22 today. I took Katie to Michael’s where the plan was to pick up some Halloween Decorations. Katie was more interested in playing with the various animals that they have on display. By the time we eventually wandered back to the Halloween decorations Katie had picked up a princess sticker book. It turned out that this was to be the item she wanted… It’s funny, last year at this time she would have been begging me every day to take her to Spirit, the Halloween store.
Before we left for home we stopped off at the Dollar Store. I picked up a tub of cotton candy for Katie and some bristol board and styrofoam. I gave Katie the option to go get some ice cream at McDonalds, but she wanted to go home and have the cotton candy and make decorations.
My wife was napping by the time we got home. While Katie munched on the cotton candy I started constructing the haunted house (see photo to the right) out of the styrofoam and bristol board.
