When I got up this morning Katie had a hankering for hot chocolate. We didn’t have any at home so my wife made some out of goat’s milk and the chocolate syrup we had in the fridge. I did go and get some supplies at Trader Joe’s. Not just hot chocolate but bread, lemonade, and some candies to pass out to the kids at Halloween.
Katie and I carved two pumpkins this evening while my wife had a nap. The smaller one that we got at Spence’s Farm yesterday became a Jack-O-Lantern face while the larger one became a ghost (see photo to the right). I actually gave Katie the choice between a cat that looked like Robin and a ghost. She chose the ghost.
Katie has started the routine of putting both of her legs into one of the legs in her pants and bouncing around the living room. A mermaid routine in advance of Ariel for Halloween?
Today was was supposed to be a restful day at home but I ended up going out three separate times:
- To get hot chocolate
- To return items to Kohls
- To get night diapers at Wal-Greens
