My wife had a phone meeting at 9am this morning so I took Katie to school. Things started off good. As she was signing her name to the chalkboard MacKenzie popped her head around the corner to get Katie to play with her. Things seemed good so I left her in the classroom and walked down the hallway with Matt (Luke’s dad).
Soon there was this little tug on my arm and a crying child attached. Katie didn’t want to stay. I walked her back to the classroom as she held tight to her deathgrip. She was saying that nobody wanted to play with her (even after MacKenzie popped her head around the doorway).
The teachers tried to calm her down and tell her all the exciting things that they would be doing today. Olivia was there by herself…the teachers asked Katie if she wanted to play with Olivia…Katie was quiet. Soon Elery came up to Katie and said “Katie, I was looking for you”. She then tapped her and said “You’re it” and Katie ran away happy as a clam.
My wife asked me to pick up some “glow” bracelets and trick or treat bags at the Dollar Store this afternoon. You can see the treats that my wife packed up in the photo to the right.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
——————–
1) Katie chased me down the hallway at preschool today when I dropped her off.
