Day #1785 (Sun., Nov. 23, 2014) – Katie’s Castle
I’m still not feeling the best but I went to WholeFoods and Trader Joe’s for supplies. We are expecting company tomorrow, my wife’s friend and her husband from Texas and wanted to make sure we had enough supplies. Bad time to go shopping. Sunday afternoons are always bad but the Sunday afternoon before a holiday? I had to circle the Trader Joe’s parking lot 2-3 times before I found a spot (had to wait for a lady to leave).
My wife had a nap this afternoon and Katie was busily getting the toy red blocks out from our fireplace area. We ended up making a castle for her to sit in (see photo to the left). Robin almost wrecked it a couple of times. We then ended up playing with some paper dolls. One of them I nicknamed “Penelope Pooh” (after Winnie The Pooh as she is into these cartoons quite a bit these days).
This evening the cats found a mouse and were chasing it around the house. I was napping at the time and didn’t hear a thing. My wife was surprised I didn’t hear her scream.
