Day #1791 (Sat., Nov. 29, 2014) – Colors For Katie’s New Room
My wife and I took Katie to both Lowe’s & Home Depot this morning to get some ideas for coloring her new room (see photo to the left). While we were there a lady saw her in the shopping cart and asked if they were selling children here now. I mentioned that we were picking out some colors for her new room as her new younger brother would be getting her old room. She got it this time! We have been hinting for weeks now that she will be a sister soon and now she seems to understand what this means.
Katie is still getting over her cold. We thought that if she sat on the mater bed and watched Caillou she would fall asleep. Yeah, right. My wife had a nap and I ended up tending to Katie.
This evening I got the hand cart out and moved some of the wooden magazine racks to the shed. I also took a number of boxes of books to the basement. The shelving units on the wall were not strong enough to hold them so we took the books off of them. Tomorrow I’ll take the book racks from the office downstairs and secure them to the wall. This will be the permanent home for the books.
