Day #1829 (Tue., Jan. 6, 2015) – Securing Katie’s Bookcase
I dropped Katie off at preschool this morning as my wife had a work meeting. I dropped off the 16 cupcakes so Katie’s birthday celebration will continue. They even made a crown for her (see photo to the right).
This evening I moved the bookcase into Katie’s new room. With the background the same color as the walls it looks like it has no back. I secured it to the wall with a hook. Katie is of the age where she will not knock it over but little Bobby might wander into her room and we want to be sure he doesn’t get hurt.
Next up was painting the light switch on Katie’s wall white. It is currently the “almond color” that seems to be the standard color in trim around our house. Guess that was popular back in the day.
This evening we asked Katie which cupcake she had at school. She said butterscotch and said that she liked it. That’s daddy’s girl…butterscotch was my favorite flavor as a child.
