Day #1866 (Thu., Feb. 12, 2015) – No Playing With Daddy
My wife and Katie put the finishing touches on the Valentine’s gifts that they will be giving to Katie’s classmates tomorrow. You can see a photo of them in the picture to the right.
When I got home from work this evening my wife and Katie were at the dining room table making Valentines packages that they will pass out to Katie’s classmates tomorrow. As soon as I made my soup and went to sit in the Lazy Boy Katie got up from the table and tried to reach the chair ahead of me.
So in other words she didn’t want the chair until she saw that I was wanting to sit in it. She needs to earn to share. She whined and complained and started to cry. Even after my wife put the television on in the master bedroom she continued to cry. Time to teach Katie a lesson.
I told her that I would give her 2 minutes. If she didn’t stop whining and complaining there would be no playing with daddy tonight as a result. She did not relent so I kept my promise. She did ask me to play with her later in the evening but I would not relent. As I was changing her to put her to bed she apologized and said that everyone deserves a second chance (A bit more of the Lawyer Katie coming out…). I told her yes, but people also have to suffer the consequences of their actions.
When my wife went to pick Robin up off of Katie’s bed there was milk all over him. Did Katie pour milk on him? That’s a question for her tomorrow morning…
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) This evening I wanted to teach Katie a lesson about not being selfish so she got no play time with daddy.
