Day #1872 (Wed., Feb. 18, 2015) – Katie’s Snowman
Another day of daddy working from home. We are expecting snow to start up again around 3pm this afternoon. I wonder if I will even get to go to work this week?
Nikki came to take care of Katie at our house today. They spent a lot of time playing with Legos. I showed Nikki where the frozen Trader Joe’s chocolate chip cookie mix was if she and Katie wanted to do some baking.
When Nikki left Katie went to our neighbors to see Ginger the dog. She saw Gabby outside at her house and walked across the street to see her. We gave Katie a lecture when we learned this. She is not supposed to be crossing the street by herself.
At any rate, around 4pm Gabby’s mom came over for a visit with Gabby and Anna in tow. Anna is really growing. She’s about the age that Katie was when we moved to Chapel Hill. Katie was very upset when they went home for dinner.
Time to enroll Katie in the Mandarin Chinese Language Program. A lottery determines who gets into the class, but if Katie does get in she will be going to this school as opposed to elementary school next year. If she doesn’t get in via the lottery there is always a waiting list. I suggested my wife give the school a $50 donation in case this helps us out as far as the waiting list process goes.
