Day #1971 (Thu., May 28, 2015) – Little Bunny Cat Toy
As I was driving Katie to school camp this morning we got talking about Duncan being bossy to Katie. Katie told me that she likes it when Duncan bosses her around…kind of like a game. She also told me that Duncan doesn’t like it when Katie bosses her around. I told her that she should be careful of letting other kids boss her around as this sometimes leads them to not appreciate the friendship.
When we arrived at school camp Eleri was in the car next to us. Katie got out. Eleri got out. Not a word was said. Katie skipped off to school and when we came out of the bathroom after washing hands she walked past Eleri and didn’t even acknowledge her.
Katie had a playdate with Duncan at the science museum. I guess that Katie wanted to go into the butterfly house but Duncan did not want to go so they ended up not going in. I’m going to have to teach Katie how to deal with situations like this…namely we’ll do what you want first then we do what I want. If someone backs out of the deal and does not want to do what you want then make sure you do what you want first.
I also learned that Katie refused to be bossed around by Duncan and that this was a direct result of our talk this morning. Good girl Katie.
There is this little bunny cat toy (see photo to the left) that the cats have long lost interest in but little Bobby finds fascinating.
