Day #1974 (Sun., May 31, 2015) – Play Date With Helen

Both my wife and I were rather happy all day after learning the news of Katie’s “probable” acceptance into the Chinese Mandarin Program last night. When you think about it, it really is a bit step as it will set the course for her future. They have a “sibling” program so little Bobby’s acceptance to the program is almost assured as well.
Katie had a playdate with Helen this afternoon. We took the pool out of shed in the possibility that Helen would come over to our house instead. This was not to be as they were going to Genevieve’s house later that evening and Helen’s mom didn’t want to have to clean her up afterwards.
We had steak and mushrooms and onions and salad at Sunday dinner this evening. Unfortunately Katie could hear Helen playing over at Genevieve’s house and was upset that she could not join them. It took quite a while to “wind her down” and she almost ended up “going to bed”…but she did “wind down”.
Little Bobby is a very happy baby. As long as he has some milk in his tummy he is smiling and happy. But boy oh boy if he is hungry watch out…
