Day #1986 (Fri., June 12, 2015) – Up Early For Trader Joe’s
We were really low on supplies so I drove out to Trader Joe’s as they opened this morning. I picked up a number of things (including the chocolate cocoa batons in the photo to the left) and had to go to work as soon as I got home.
Everett was supposed to come out today to install the new electronic cat door but when he didn’t show up my wife got Hannah’s brother to do the job. It still needs to be secured and water-proofed, but at least the cats can use it.
We went for another stroll around the neighborhood tonight. We saw Jelly the dog and the owner, a famous poet, persuaded us to get a “mutt” rescue shelter dog.
On the way back from our walk Katie invited Helen over. When we arrived at our house Helen tapped our glass door with her shoe. My wife told Helen’s mother about the incident when she came to pick her up.
