Day #1998 (Wed., June 24, 2015) – Swim Coach For Katie
My wife let Melanie go this morning. Something about Katie not wanting to play with her. Katie did did express an interest in having her take her to the pool tomorrow though. We’ll see… Melanie said that she had another job lined up where she would be cleaning a woman’s house.
We have tentatively lined up swimming classes with a personal swim coach for next Wednesday at 3:30pm. Miss Barbara has been teaching swimming for 50? years and was a preschool teacher for 30 years…so she loves to deal with kids. She had a million questions about Katie…everything from what books she likes to read to her pets. I guess she loved the name Batman and Robin.
Barbara also teaches swimming classes for babies between 6 months and 3 years as well. We’re planning on having her teach little Bobby so he won’t be scared of the water. I guess this is a good time to start as they still have some instincts to protect themselves in the water at that age. We were trying to figure out why we waiting this long to teach Katie…apparently the eczema she had was the reason.
Another trip around the University Mall this evening. To the left is a photo showing a pair of man’s shorts that they are selling in one of the mall shops. Not sure what guy would wear a pair of shorts with flying pigs on them…
We also learned that this Saturday would be Radio Shack’s last day at the mall. They are opening at 9am and have a special where everything you can fit into one of their shopping bags will go for $10.
