At the parent/teacher meeting at Glenwood Schools last night they gave us a list of various things that we should go over with our children at home…homework if you will. On the drive to Glenwood this morning Katie and I went over counting to 50. We’re going to do that every morning. Katie, for whatever reason, always forgets 15. I think I’m going to write the numbers out and point to them as we go over them. In this way she will visually see that 15 comes after 14…
Little Bobby’s little “piggy” is breaking through his onesie as you can see in the photo to the right.
When I arrived home this evening Nikki was at our house. She picked up Katie after school today. She told us that Katie had no problem counting up to 50 and beyond… Apparently they were counting animals…maybe that’s the trick. Things seem to go much easier with her when animals are involved.
My wife gave Katie a bath this evening and I managed to get little Bobby to sleep with a combination of buckwheat and milk. Later in the evening though, I left Katie to go to the bathroom and she ran into the living room jumping around and screaming and woke him up… It doesn’t seem to matter how many times we ask her to be quiet…she seems to forget.
