My wife had a “Buy Buy Baby” gift card that she wanted to use up so she went shopping today. Katie wanted to join her, so they effectively had a “Mother/Daughter Day”. They also returned some stuff to Old Navy. I think that Katie might be missing the times that my wife used to spend with her. Little Bobby seems to take up so much of her time these days. Hopefully days like today will help to grow the bond between them.
Before they went out I drove down to Trader Joe’s to get supplies. I also had to stop off at WalGreens and get some diapers for little Bobby. At Trader Joe’s I picked up a Haunted Gingerbread House. I also picked up some “Mums” flowers and Halloween stickers. I guess you could say that I gave Katie three presents today.
While the girls of the house were out I tended to little Bobby. I can tell it’s going to be great fun to do “guy” things with him when he gets older. He already enjoys all the crazy faces and sounds that his daddy makes.
This afternoon Katie and I assembled the Haunted Gingerbread House (see photo to the left) that I picked up at Trader Joe’s this morning. I think she was more interested in tasting the frosting than in building the house.
