Day #161 (Sun., June 13, 2010) – Pink Pig and Feather Duster
My wife told me that she was looking at little Katie’s mouth and noticed that the bottom of her mouth was not smooth any more…there are two small bumps. Perhaps we will see two new teeth soon?
We went to the Mexican restaurant down the street for lunch. Little Katie behaved herself during the meal but needed to be fed just before we left. The next stop was the Dollar Store where my mother-in-law picked up a number of items. While my wife and mother-in-law shopped I pushed little Katie around in a shopping cart. At first I started to pick up various bottles and things off the shelf to entertain her (she especially likes things with the color red). Then I came across something that she really liked…
The photo to the right shows a little pink pig bath mitt and a pink feather duster. I would put my hand in the little pig and pretend it was talking to little Katie and at the same time tickle her legs with the pink feather duster. She laughed and laughed the hardest we have ever heard her. She laughed so much in fact that I thought I should probably quit so as not to disturb the other customers. In the end these two items proved to be such a hit that I purchased them so I could use them to entertain little Katie at home.
My wife weighed little Katie today. She weighed in at 18lbs 5.5oz. On June 4th she weighed 18lbs 3.5oz. Is it possible that she only gained 2oz in 10 days?
Little Katie had a bath this evening. She has a little yellow ducky that lights up…makes a bath all that more interesting.
