Day #2294 (Fri., Apr. 15, 2016) – The Sleep Monster
Today is pajama day at Katie’s school. She wore her bumble bee pj’s. I told her that she had better be careful at recess as the “Sleep Monster” is lurking in the woods and if he happens to see any kids in their pj’s he will rush out and grab them and put them to bed early. Going to bed early is a fate worse than death to Katie. She took it all in…
This evening we got a report card from Katie’s teacher. She is doing real well in a lot of areas but needs more work on her math skills. You can see one of her assignments in the photo to the right. Hard to believe that she would find difficulty with math given her parents…but it is what it is… It appears that she gets the “plus” and “minus” mixed up and I suspect it is more a matter of not paying attention than it is anything else. At any rate, my wife and I agreed that I would do some math problems with her on the way to Glenwood each morning.
Bobby is making progress in standing up but he’s not there just yet. If you let him stand and watch over him he will stand in place for a bit and then just fall down. I guess his legs are not strong enough to hold him up for very long. It won’t be long before he is walking…
