Day #172 (Thu., June 24, 2010) – Hot, Hot, Hot …
I couldn’t resist the urge to go check on little Katie before I left for work this morning. She was a bit restless…looks like she might be up soon.
Hot, hot, hot outside today. You really have to be careful taking little Katie out in this weather.
I left work around 2pm today as I have already completed my 40 hours. Will work on some stuff at home for the rest of the week. I took my car to the garage…it needs an oil change and a check-up. My wife met me there and I drove her car home.
The photo to the right shows a couple of the books we have purchased in preparation for the day (not too long from now) when little Katie will be eating her first solid food…
I was playing with little Katie in the playyard this evening. She was on her tummy and clicking on the keys of the baby toy piano. Whatever song came up, I would sing it. She got a real kick out of that.
I’m still trying to get the same loud laugh out out little Katie via the pig and duster, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Looks like that one time in the Dollar Store might have been one of those “right place at the right time” events.
I asked my mother-in-law what it was like to have a child all grown up and on her own? She said that I will find out in 20 years… Hard to believe…but true…
