Day #2400 (Sat., July 30, 2016) – Mary Poppins Production
I went to AutoZone this morning to get some oil for my car and stopped off at the Farmer’s Market in Chapel Hill afterwards to get some fresh fish.
My wife took Katie to the theatrical production of “Mary Poppins” in downtown Raleigh today (see photo to the left). They left around noon after my wife put Bobby to bed. I soon went to bed as well for a nap as it promises to be a long afternoon.
I didn’t hear Bobby crying via the monitor but he was up at the side of his crib when I woke up at 3:30pm. We played with balls and cars for a bit and then I said “Do you want to go for a drive”? He looked at me and immediately went to the front door. He knew what I meant. On the drive this afternoon I put Bobby on my lap and we slowing rode back and forth in the driveway. He sure loves his drives.
My wife was planning on being back at 6pm but they had van problems. They had to call AAA due to a bad battery connection and arrived home close to 8pm. I guess the performance was fantastic and they sang Mary Poppins songs all the way home. Katie dressed up in a beautiful dress that my wife got for $5 at the consignment sale. I guess that there was a lady who saw Katie as she was crossing the crosswalk and happened to see her again inside the performance. She said “You’re the girl with the pretty dress I saw”.
