Day #2407 (Sat., Aug 6, 2016) – Laundry Room Latch
Katie was not feeling well so my wife took her to the doctor this morning. It might be strep throat or a virus, but Katie is ill none-the-less. I went to the Farmer’s Market today and Katie asked me to get her a cupcake. Not very good for a sick girl, but I picked up a little almond cupcake (i.e: $4 yeech!) and some swordfish for dinner.
Bobby still runs out to eat cat food from time to time and it is hard for me to get up all the time and get him so I decided that I would put a latch on the door. At first we put it on the door to the kitchen, but it is the door to the laundry room that really needed the latch (see photo to the right). In this way Bobby can still go out to the front door to see the cars come and go.
Bobby has this little leash that he drags behind him. We think he thinks it is a dog. At any rate I told my wife about the Slinky dogs that we had as kids and she ordered one for Bobby.
Katie wanted to play some cards tonight despite her illness. I showed her my “4 Aces” card trick and we played a couple of games of modified Crazy 8’s as we didn’t have a full deck.
