Today is Daddy/Daughter Day #49. We started the day off by taking Katie to Home Depot for one of their “Kid’s Workshops”. The project was to assemble a miniature whiteboard and paint it. One thing we didn’t anticipate is the noise of all those kids hammering. Katie wanted to leave soon after painting it.
Next up was A.C. Moore to play with the animals. Katie has been looking forward to this all week. She really wanted a miniature white tiger cub figure (see photo to the right) so I got it for her. I also picked up a black velvet horse drawing kit with markers (on sale at $1.99).
Next up was Wendy’s for lunch. Katie really enjoyed the hamburger in the kid’s meal as it “didn’t have any lettuce”…just ketchup. She saved some of her french fries to feed the crows in the parking lot.
Next up was the candy store near the theater in the South Point Mall. We got a big bag of candies…one of each. This afternoon we are going to be doing “Katie’s Candy Review Show”. I’m going to video her tasting various candies and we are going to put them up on YouTube.
The next activity was to Michael’s to play with the animals. They had a little tiger cup similar to the one that Katie got at A.C. Moore so I bought that for her as well.
This evening my wife and I assembled the tractor that we will be giving Bobby for Christmas. It was quite the undertaking as there were a lot of parts. I will need to pick up some epoxy cement to secure one of the black knobs to the wheel. We will then put it in the shed … ready for Christmas.
