Day #2491 (Sat., Oct. 29, 2016) – Southern Village “Halloween House”

My wife took Katie shopping for Halloween party supplies this afternoon while I tended to Bobby. He slept til 3:15pm but when he finally got up from his nap I coaxed him to the living room with two words… “robot” & “cheese”. He didn’t eat the cheese stick I gave him but he sure enjoyed playing with the robot. I even used his finger to turn the robot on and off via the switch on the robot’s back.

My wife and Katie were gone for close to 4 hours. I guess that everything took longer than expected. Getting new frames for my wife’s glasses at Sam’s Club. Getting her rings cleaned at Zales. Getting Halloween party plates at Target.

This evening we bundled up the kids and took them to Southern Village to see the Halloween decorations. The main stop was the Halloween house that always puts on a huge display. This was the first year that Bobby was old enough to get out of the car and chase after his older sister as she examined all the artifacts. This year they had skeletons climbing up the wall of the house (see photo to the right). Bobby had a blast…so much so that it was hard to put him back into the van when it was time to leave. Katie wanted to get out and see other decorations at other stops but my wife was not too eager to try to put Bobby back into the van again.
