Today Katie and I had Daddy/Daughter Day #51. There were a number of things on the agenda so as soon as Bobby went to bed for his nap we were off…
Oh, before we left for the day Katie tried one of those frozen Reese’s peanut butter cups. She liked it, but didn’t rave about it like I had thought. Oh well, we were off to try candy #2…caramels.
We picked up a bag of caramels at Harris-Teeter near the O2 Fitness Gym in southern Orange county. Katie loved them. So much so that she said she was going to write candy review about them for her class (I guess they are into reviewing things in her 1st-grade class these days?).
The next stop was to the Dollar Store where we picked up a foam bristol board. I was planning on creating a turkey out of it but it didn’t quite work itself into today’s agenda (as you will soon read). Katie picked up a bag of candy ring pops and I got her a couple of dog calendars for next year.
When we got home we got busy at assembling the Harris-Teeter gingerbread turkey (see photo to the left). This one was not as convenient as the other Trader Joe’s gingerbread kits as we needed to beat an egg. We had to hurry as we wanted to complete it before Bobby got up from his nap lest he try to “help”.
Bobby has found a new hiding place…behind the television set. He loves to get behind there and tinker with the wires.
