Day #2518 (Fri., Nov. 25, 2016) – Spiderman Hot Wheels & Scrabble Junior
It was such a busy day yesterday that we didn’t get the chance to give the kids their presents. Oh well, no problem…today is the day (see photo to the left).
We started off by giving Bobby his present of the Hot Wheels Spiderman Set. We’ll give Katie her present once he goes to bed for his nap. It is effectively an action jump set where the Spiderman car zooms down the track and leaps off to knock down the various Spiderman villains. Bobby (and Katie too I might add) really enjoyed it. I’m thinking of getting him an expanded set for Christmas.
Once Bobby went to bed I gave Katie her gift of Scrabble Junior. There are two versions of the game, a basic and advanced. We stared off with the advanced version, which is very similar to regular Scrabble, but Katie wanted to play the basic version as it involved one of the four little player pieces. She really liked the game and asked me to play it again when I got up from my afternoon nap.
Katie expressed an interest in learning checkers so maybe this is a good game to get her for Christmas.
Dzenen’s mother wanted to go shopping for Black Friday specials so they were not able to come over today for leftovers. Perhaps tomorrow. We ended up eating most of the leftovers.
