Day #2526 (Sat., Dec. 3, 2016) – Looking At Christmas Lights
Wyatt came over to play with Katie this morning. I went to the gym to have a nice long swim.
This afternoon my wife took Katie to see Arnesa & Ira. Bobby was napping so I decided to nap as well. He woke up at 5:10pm, which meant that I woke up as well.
This evening we took the kids to see the Christmas lights display of Hannah’s brother (see photo to the right). Unfortunately we were not able to get out of the car this year. We found out when a cop came over to my wife and told her of the new policy. Bobby was beside himself and cried like mad.
In an effort to calm down the screaming Bobby we stopped off at Wal-Mart to see their Christmas display. They didn’t have any decorations out that the kids could play with, but Bobby loved to play with the “try me” buttons on various toys. He also liked the toy trucks and the toy “light sabre” I found for him. As we were leaving Katie mentioned how she wanted a toy “walking” dog (that runs on batteries). Note to Santa…
We were then off to Hillborough to see if we could see some Christmas lights. We did see a few, but nothing to rave about. On the way home we stopped off at Wendy’s to feed a sobbing Bobby. Katie got to have a kid’s meal and Bobby really liked the chili. Both kids loved roaming around and it was a real challenge to get Bobby back into the van.
My wife got another baby monitor this evening but it didn’t work so back to the store it goes…
