Day #2530 (Wed., Dec. 7, 2016) – Katie Goes To Duke
On the drive to Glenwood this morning I noticed this leaf formation on a branch overhead (see photo to the left). Quite the little arrangement of love hearts I thought.
Katie is going to Duke on a field trip today. I guess they are going to be teaching the students Chinese and performing a Chinese song. I asked her if she thought I should go and teach them the meaning of “Wojenbojentai” (i.e.: “Man who loves wildebeasts, chickens, and sleep”) and she suggested not…
My wife went to Duke to see goes as well to see Katie’s performance. Apparently the parking lot attendant was very rude.
My wife mentioned the Chapel Hill parade to Katie and asked her if she wants to walk in the Chinese section. She said she wants to watch it but not walk. That’s good…it’s supposed to be very cold.
This evening I was in the bathroom and Bobby brought me the remote from the living room so that he could watch “man” (i.e.: Spiderman).
Karen wants to work during Christmas week so my wife will have the chance to clean up the place a bit and prepare for Katie’s birthday.
