Day #2533 (Sat., Dec. 10, 2016) – Chapel Hill Christmas Parade

2016-12-10 - Parade Candy

My wife took Katie to the Chapel Hill Christmas Parade this morning. Was it ever cold. Katie didn’t want to march in the parade this year, just watch from the sidelines. She brought back home a big pocket full of candy that Helen threw to her from the parade route (see photo to the right).

While they were away I tended to Bobby. He’s been saying new words lately, such as “Look Dog”. Our little boy is growing up. He really likes vehicles of all sorts but especially trucks. I’m not sure that I enjoyed vehicles as much as he does when I was a kid.

I went to the gym for a 2-hour long swim this afternoon. I stopped off at the Dollar Tree and picked up some tissue paper as Katie wants a “Triple Clef” pinata for her birthday and the only way is to make one. I was hoping to get a Spiderman helium balloon for Bobby but they were out of helium.

I was real tired when I got back from the gym this afternoon. I gave Katie the coloring book that I picked up at the Dollar Store and she said that I could go have a nap. What a nice girl. I decided that I would take her to SmallCakes tomorrow for a special treat.
