Day #2598 (Mon., Feb. 13, 2017) – Spiderman Coloring Packs
I went to Sam’s Club at noon today to get some garbage bags. As I was going down the book aisle I saw some Spiderman coloring packs (see photo to the right). Only $10 and perfect for Bobby’s upcoming birthday so I got them.
I also picked up some chocolates for the doctor and staff who did the hernia surgery on me. I’ll be going back to see them when it comes time to do my knee surgery so it’s good to be in their good books.
A tree came down on the power lines on MLK this afternoon so the power was out this evening. No lights as soon as the sun went down so we decided to take the kids to Wendy’s in Chapel Hill. Arnesa and Dzenen live nearby and invited us over afterward but we wanted to get the kids home so that they could go to bed. There was a little robot in Katie’s happy meal and Bobby enjoyed winding it up and playing with that. He seemed more interested in licking the ketchup off of a french fry till my wife gave him her cell phone to watch a Spiderman video on. Katie wasn’t interested in eating either but I coaxed her by playing a video of “Wow Wow Wuzzby”.
As we were driving home around 8pm Genevieve texted my wife that the power was back on.
