Day #189 (Sun., July 11, 2010) – Enter the High Chair

9:00am – My wife is sleeping and my mother-in-law took little Katie out for a stroll. I’m up and ready to face the day.

I got a real good look at that new tooth that is peeking out of little Katie’s mouth. She was on her back and laughing so hard that her mouth was wide open. It’s dead center on her bottom gum. No wonder she seems to be sucking her mouth in and out as of late. It must be hard to figure out why this hard thing is in your mouth and it just won’t go away.

Little Katie sat next to us at the breakfast table for the first time this morning. She in her comfy high chair (see photo to the right) and us in our hard wooden chairs. We eating pancakes and her “mouthing” sweet potato “mush”. What a picture.

Some of the features of this particular high chair are: (1) It is waterproof, (2) The seat is adjustable so it can be reclined, (3) There is something under her legs for comfort, (4) It’s lightweight, (5) Has wheels, and (6) A 5-point harness. Above all this, little Katie likes sitting her, and that’s a real selling point.

We had another Skype session with my mother this afternoon. I took the time to show her an assortment of little Katie’s toys. We even tried to show her little Katie’s tooth (which little Katie was not too keen on).
