Day #190 (Mon., July 12, 2010) – Eat, Sleep, Play…

I got up early and went to work this morning. I thought that little Katie would not be up by the time I left but my wife brought her down to the bottom of the stairs to say good-bye to me.

Little Katie slept until 7:30am this morning and then had her usual stroll with my mother-in-law. She didn’t have her sleep while out on the stroll today. Seems like a long while since we used to take her around the lake in a harness.

When she got back from her stroll my wife thought that she would be eager for a sleep, but that was not to be. She stayed awake for another 2.5 hours. She then slept for 2.5 hours, ate a bit, then slept for another hour.

The photo to the left shows yet another musical toy in little Katie’s toolbox. This one has a little song and melody that is customized to the color of the button you click on. There is also a little ball that rolls around on the inside of the toy. In addition, if you grab the little bluebird on the top of the toy he will let you know it.

By 7pm and I was gradually working my way home from work. My wife thought that little Katie would be able to sleep at 6pm but “no deal”. She was asleep when I got home, but by the time I ate dinner she was up again. Go figure.

Little Katie’s eating patterns are much more interesting these days. She had a few teaspoons of sweet potato for brunch. She was eagerly opening her mouth and leaning towards the spoon for more food. My wife and mother-in-law were both amazed by that. She’s gradually learning and “liking” solid food.

Little Katie and I played a bit this evening, but I went to bed and “guess who” was still up. I guess that life is just getting so interesting for her that she can’t sleep much anymore…

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
