Day #2633 (Mon., Mar. 20, 2017) – First Day Back At School

Katie has been off sick since last Wednesday. She told me this morning on the drive to Glenwood that she has effectively been away from school for five days. Helen was in the car ahead of us when I dropped Katie off at Glenwood.

As we were driving to Glenwood Katie remarked that it looked like there was snow on the rooftops and ground. I told her that it was more probably dew. She was not sure what that was. We had it all the time on the ground in Canada but come to think of it I don’t think I have ever seen it here in North Carolina.

2017-03-20 - Car Garage TrackThe photo to the left shows the “car/garage” track that my wife picked up for Bobby at the consignment sale on Saturday. This is the track that those two small Hot Wheels cars I picked up yesterday fit so nicely on.

We love the fact that Bobby and Katie play together so nicely. Bobby loves the attention and Katie love to have someone to play with. Today they played “otters”. “Do you want to be an otter, Bobby”? “Yes”, and off they went.

Mrs. Wang, one of Katie’s teachers, is about to leave to have a baby. My wife sent out the following email today:

Thank you so much – we’ve received outpouring of contributions for Mrs. Wang’s farewell gift card, $405 to be precise! 🙂 I am sure together with a wonderful memory book of cards and pictures, it will make Mrs. Wang feel really loved and appreciated.

Bobby will go through all kinds of antics when you ask him “Are you Hulk”? “Are you Iron Man”? “Are you Spiderman”? Sometimes he will just smile and say “No, No, No”…
