I happened to come across a photo of a mole rat (see photo to the left) the other day and showed it to Katie. What an ugly creature. On the way to Glenwood this morning I thought up a great idea for a horror story for kids. How about a giant mole rat that burrows beneath the ground and drags people into the tunnels with it?
Katie and I also talked about bird houses and she listened intently when I told her that the most important consideration in building a bird house is the size of the hole. Too small and the bird will not be able to get in. Too large and it will not make it home as they worry predators will get inside as well.
I told Katie that we might have a Daddy/Daughter day this weekend. She really wants to see the movie “Boss Baby”. I guess that Victor and Herron have already seen it. I asked Katie if it was a kid’s movie and she said yes. She told me that she has been looking at the trailers on YouTube when we sometimes take naps. We’re going to have to think about some sort of parent controls now that she can spell and do things like this.
Katie had another piano class this afternoon. Miss Laura is very impressed with her progress.
As I was driving home the rest of the family were playing next door with Penny. When I arrived at home Guenther was playing in the yard. We turned on the bubble machine and the bubbles flew everywhere (see photo to the left).
Bobby hit me in the head with the pretend cutting board this evening.
