Day #2709 (Sun., Jun. 4, 2017) – Birthday Parties At The Public Pool
My wife took Katie to a birthday party this afternoon. In fact two birthday parties, a joint party for Isaiah and Theo, two of Katie’s classmates, at the public pool. Susan told my wife that it costs $500 for the summary to get access to this pool. Seems kind of expensive when a family plan at YMCA is not much more than that for the year (I think)? At any rate, Sophi was not there so we avoided anymore “bossy” drama.
Katie left her paints out on the floor so Bobby got into them when he got up from his nap. I managed to distract him and when he went back to play with them they were gone. He came running up to me and said: “paints gone”. Yes, it’s becoming easier to understand what Bobby is saying these days. Drawing with some markers was a good substitute (see photo to the right).
I had a snake that I used to unclog a toilet in the bathroom. Bobby started to drag it about pretending it was a firehose. Well, that’s just one more thing I am going to have to hide from him.
Bobby got up on top of the cabinet and peered over the ledge near the basement stairway entrance. We promptly took the cabinet away so that he could not climb up on it any longer. I don’t know how we are going to keep this kid off the ground. He seems to become more daring and adventuresome by the day.
