Day #2711 (Tue., Jun. 6, 2017) – Crazy Hat, Hair & Socks Day
Today is crazy hat day at Glenwood School. In fact, it is “crazy hat, hair & socks day” according to Katie. You can see the hat that Katie wore in the photo to the right. Pretty crazy, right?
On the drive to school this morning Katie told me that Wyatt wants to be her BFF. She told me that he has a “potty” mouth but added that it’s okay because she talks this way sometimes as well.
There is a dance party this afternoon for the kids in Katie’s dance class. A bit of a celebration now that the “Mary Poppins” performance is over. My wife connected with Mattie’s mother and they are going to be there celebrating together.
This evening a “Fidget Spinner” and a “Fire Power Hose” came in the mail. My wife opened the box and gave them to the kids. The fidget spinner is this little device that spins on your finger and is supposed to help anxiety and stress. Katie told me that Max and Isaiah and other boys at school had one, now Katie is the first in their group to have one. Bobby loved his “Fire Power Hose”, effectively a squirt gun disguised as a fire hose. We didn’t put any water in it as it is an outdoor toy and we don’t want to get him this worked up before bedtime.
My wife spent a lot of the evening cleaning up Bobby’s room as she will be assembling his bed tomorrow.
