Day #2714 (Fri., Jun. 9, 2017) – Last Day Of School
The photo to the right shows the assortment of baby jars that Bobby enjoys. We had a number of various flavors to start, but they have gradually whittled down to these three.
- Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal on the first shelf.
- Prunes & Oatmeal on the second shelf.
- Apples & Blueberries on the third shelf.
In the evening we will usually feed Bobby a jar of the prunes & oatmeal to start. This is to keep him regular. We will then finish up with two jars of the apple cinnamon oatmeal combination. The apples & blueberries are added to Bobby’s Greek yogurt for his lunch. Pretty soon he will be off baby food altogether and eating food just like the rest of us.
Today is Katie’s last day of school and the last day in which she will be in grade 1. The side benefit to my wife and I is that we will not have to get up early to pack her lunch, get her ready, and drive her to school…at least for a few months til she starts grade 2.
On the way to Glenwood this morning Katie made the comment that all of the kids would be there as this is the last day of school, except for Isaiah who is going camping and Herron who has gone to China.
They are getting out of school early today. The last day of school was always one of my favorite days of the year when I was growing up. Katie is excited as well. Some things never change.
