Day #2729 (Sat., Jun. 24, 2017) – McKenzie’s Birthday Party
My wife took Katie to McKenzie’s birthday party at Freddie’s Amusement Park in the Briar Creek area of Raleigh today. They gave the kids a $5 gift card for the party and that didn’t last long. If you wanted more rides or activities you needed to purchase more. My wife bought another $5 card and then decided to come home. They stopped off at the Polish grocery store in Durham on the way home.
Both my wife and Katie enjoyed the racing cars. I guess that MacKenzie and Katie rode the “water” boat together (see photo to the right). On this ride one person steers and the other person fires the “water cannon”. MacKenzie was steering and I guess she could not control the boat. It went under the water fountains and the girls came out soaking wet.
While the girls were away I tended to Bobby. It was not too bad putting him to bed for his nap. He doesn’t want stories anymore so after feeling him you take him to his Spiderman bed and play with him a bit. He will fuss for a bit but if he has had enough to eat he will quickly doze off.
