Day #2759 (Mon., Jul. 24, 2017) – Fixing Jasmine’s Car Window
My wife took Katie to the dentist this morning as her braces fell off again. There was an elderly lady there who said that in all her years of treating kids she has never seen braces fall off in this manner. The thought is that “whatever” is making Katie sick to her stomach is also dissolving the glue on her braces. The elderly lady put some of the glue that they used to use in the “olden days” (i.e.: 80s). Hopefully, that will do the trick.
Jasmine accidentally backed up into a tree in our yard this afternoon and the rear window on her car shattered. I went to Lowe’s this evening to pick up some clear plastic sheeting to cover up the hole til she is able to get it fixed when she is back in New Jersey (see photo to the right). I used duct tape to secure it into place this evening. I also taped her rear windshield wiper in place and asked her to put a piece of duct tape on her on/off switch so that she doesn’t turn it on accidentally.
While at Lowe’s I picked up some doorknob covers. They came in a package of three so we have two left over after I put one on my bedroom door. This is the main reason I got them as Bobby will often open the door and come in to see daddy. I don’t want him messing with my stuff now that I have cleaned off the desk and will have the new monitor, docking station, keyboard, and mouse from work.
I also returned some items to Wal-Mart for Jasmine this evening. She didn’t have the receipt so I got her a gift card. I could not return the water purifier as this item is no longer being sold by Wal-Mart.
Jasmine’s mom made curry fish this evening. Katie loved it, so it’s something that we are going to have to cook for her in the future. She tends to be very picky about the foods she eats as of late.
The girls were going to go to Maple View Farms this evening but instead, they got busy putting up decorations for “Christmas in July”. Bobby, of course, enjoyed running around and following the girls and helping out where he could.
