Day #2764 (Sat., Jul. 29, 2017) – Visiting The North Carolina Aquarium
The water at our cottage is not the best so I stopped off at the local convenience store to get some bottled water. There was a sticker with the price on the top of it…I haven’t seen one of those in a long while. Usually, stores scan the bar codes of items these days.
It was raining this morning so we did not go to the beach. We went to the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher instead. There was a huge pool with a skin diver (see photo to the left) who was swimming with the various fish that are found in the ocean nearby. We purchased a lovely “green screen” photo of us in front of various backdrops.
When we got back we were so tired… Katie didn’t let mommy sleep last night (Katie was on the top bunk) so all three of us went to bed this afternoon for a nap while Katie was “sentenced” to play by herself.
We went to MacDonalds for dinner as they have WiFi and the kids like to eat Happy Meals. We went souvenir shopping before hand and saw a keychain that we saw on the floor at McDonald’s as well.
This evening we went to Food Lion for supplies. The kids enjoyed riding in their shopping cart. We also went to Dollar General next door and bought a $3 fire truck for Bobby and some animals for Katie. I also bought a kite for $10 that I few on Kure Beach later this evening.
