The photo to the left shows the little ambulance toy that Bobby has taken a fancy towards as of late.
Katie keeps telling us how Eleri has changed and has not done anything bad to her this year. We keep warning her that people usually don’t change who they are. We would rather she avoid Eleri altogether, but it looks like she might have to get hurt by her until she learns her lesson. There are so many other kids who want to be Katie’s friend, why does she bother with Eleri? My wife thinks that she does this because she views Eleri as a wounded animal, and we all know who much she loves animals.
My wife got Laura, a friend who lives down the road, some winter jackets for her kids at the consignment sale yesterday. I gave them to her husband James when I dropped Katie off at their house for a playdate with their son Wyatt. My wife said to try and not take money for it unless they forced me to. Laura was out shopping but James said that she told him he had to take the money. I tried to protest, how they had fed Katie and treated Katie to various activities, but he would not relent. So, off I went with the $25 that the coats cost. They are such good people.
I stopped off at Trader Joe’s this afternoon for supplies. It came too close to $300, but I got a little bit of everything. I picked up another “Haunted Gingerbread House” for Katie to take over to Wyatt’s house the next time they have a playdate. I treated myself to some Kona Coffee. It cost close to $20 a can, but I figure I deserve this little treat given how much I’m going to be laid up when I have my knee surgery. Who knows, maybe this high-quality coffee will make me feel better when I’m dealing with all that pain.
When my wife picked up Katie this afternoon she said she thought Wyatt and Katie kissed good-bye. My wife was careful to not make a big deal out of it at the time. Where do kids get this stuff from?
