Day #2815 (Wed., Sep. 20, 2017) – Katie’s Endoscopy
The photo to the left shows the toy toolset that I picked up for Bobby at Walmart the other day.
My wife took Katie to the doctor this morning for an endoscopy. We are trying to get to the bottom of what could be causing her upset stomachs. It went well. They didn’t find anything today and the biopsy results will come back next week. It looks like it is just a case of nerves…something that we will have to help her deal with moving forward.
They took real good care of Katie and even gave her an iPad to play with. They gave her a local anesthetic and she got to decorate it however she wanted. She also got a gift of a plush animal, which was on her bed when the procedure was over.
In leaving the hospital my wife wheeled Katie in a wheelchair to the golf cart which took them to their car. They got an ice cream at the cafeteria before they left the building. My wife finished it for her.
I went to Trader Joe’s for supplies this afternoon. I asked Lizzie if she wanted anything and she said surprise me, so I got her some of those chocolate/almond horn cookies that are so delish. Katie enjoyed it too. I also picked up a couple of bags of frozen black cherries for Katie.
When Bobby woke up from his nap this afternoon his first words were “I am sorry mommy, I miss the teachers. I miss Ms. Cindy and Ms. Jaclyn”. My wife texted them and Cindy replied: “Ahh we love our Bobby!!!”. Bobby is already charming the ladies…
Bobby seems to have misplaced his toy drill so I gave him the flashlight that came with the tool kit I purchased from Walmart a couple of days ago. Looks like we’re going to have to get a backup set of these tools as he keeps misplacing them.
