Day #2827 (Mon., Oct. 2, 2017) – Wife Switches Mattresses

My wife took both Katie and Bobby to school this morning. She was a bit late arriving at Bobby’s preschool as he wanted to eat before he left. She was trying to hurry back home as the physiotherapist was arriving at 9 am to meet me, but as Bobby was crying she had a harder time leaving.

We are noticing that Bobby has been crying when my wife leaves school as of late. He was the one kid who didn’t cry during the first day of school, and he was the only one crying today. The teachers think that he is potentially processing the fact that I have been away for the past few days and realizes all the stresses and changes at home.

Katie was scheduled to have pizza at lunchtime today but they were out. She had shredded beef in a hamburger bun instead. She didn’t mind the switch in meals.

When I came out of the bedroom this evening there was a bunch of toy animals on the floor in the walkway to the kitchen. I told Katie that this will not fly. I need to have a clear path to the kitchen in order to do my exercises. I will, as best as I can, throw out any animals that I can reach if they are in this walkway. No more fooling around.

My wife switched mattresses between the two main beds in the house this evening. The firmer mattress is much more to my liking. My wife thinks that the softer one might be easier on her hip, so we’ll see how it goes.
